Aquilegia Vulgaris ‘Pink Petticoats’

Aquilegia vulgaris ‘Pink Petticoats’ adds a delightful splash of colour in spring as it bears really tightly double flower with more than a passing resemblance to a pair of vintage frilly tennis knickers. The flowers stand on slender stems above green ferny foliage in late spring and early summer. The colouring shades from a rich cerise at the spurs to a clean white at the face of the flower. Prefers light shade and humus-rich, well-drained soil. Will tolerate full sun where plants can be kept watered. The flowers are very attractive to a range of wildlife. Height 60cm tall. Enjoy a beautiful bloom year after year.
