Aster 'Little Carlow' bears masses of single flowers with lilac-blue petals and yellow centres, which appear on sturdy stems in late September. It's ideal for growing at the middle of herbaceous borders and is flowering when other are starting to fade. It's also an important source of nectar and pollen for bees and other pollinators.
