Tetrapanax papyrifera "Rex" is a large, fast-growing shrub or small tree with large, exotic-looking deeply lobed Matt green leaves that can reach up to 1m wide, are produced on upright stems. New shoots and leaves have a coating of fine, pale brown hairs. Creamy pompoms of flowers are produced in large sprays in autumn, followed by black fruit Height up to 2.5m Spread 2.5m. Sheltered, Strong winds can break leaves. Full sun or dappled shade. Well drained, moist soil.  Evergreen, Not fully Hardy.
